BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Troubles for MBTA bus riders over the weekend after unruly passengers broke bus windows in two separate incidents causing delays.

On Saturday afternoon, an MBTA bus operator asked a passengers board the bus using the rear door so passengers could exit the bus on Warren Street in Roxbury. The male passenger was angered by this request and continued to punch the window causing the glass to shatter, MBTA Transit Police said.

The bus was then removed from service causing delays for riders. Transit Police officers were able to locate the 35-year-old man and he has since been charged.

In a separate incident on Sunday around 6 p.m., two minors got on an MBTA bus on Hyde Park Avenue and refused to pay their fare, Transit Police said. The bus operator asked them to pay their fare for a second time and they exited the bus and kicked the door window leaving a spider web crack. The bus had to be removed from service.

The teens fled the scene.
