Whitman Police Ask For Public's Help In Identifying Stabbing Suspect

WHITMAN, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) — Whitman Police are asking the public to help identify a man they believe was involved in a stabbing at an apartment complex on Tuesday night.

At 8:15 p.m., Whitman Police received a 911 call reporting someone was stabbed at an apartment complex on Myrtle Avenue. When police arrived, they found a 27-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the head and face, Whitman Police Department said.

After the man was stabbed, he walked to a neighbor's house and they called 911 to request medical attention. The man was transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time, officials said.

After the incident, the suspect fled the scene heading east on West Street.

Whitman Police described the suspect as, "A male in his 20s, wearing a light green fleece jacket with black shoulders and a black hood. The suspect also had a white backpack and wore white and black sneakers."
