17-Year-Old Dies After Worcester Shooting; Suspect Arrested

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 17-year-old male has died after being shot in Worcester Wednesday night, police said.

Worcester police said they responded to a call of shots fired at around 6:10 p.m. near the intersection of Lafayette Street and Millbury Street, where they found the teen wounded.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he later died. His identity has not been released.

On Thursday afternoon, Worcester police said a juvenile was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting. The suspect's identity has also not been released.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Worcester police.
