Lightning Strike Causes Damage At State Senate President's House

ASHLAND, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Lighting hit the home of Massachusetts Senate President Karen Spilka in Ashland on Wednesday.

WBZ-TV reports that underground wiring of an invisible fence at Spilka's home hit by lightning around 10:30 p.m. The charge traveled into the hosue and blew the control panel for the fence and a sprinkler system.

No one was injured . However officials from Ashland Fire tell WBZ-TV that if anyone was near those two control panels they would have been injured.
