QUINCY, MA (WBZ-AM) -- The site formerly occupied by Quincy Medical Center is set to become housing.  A developer plans to demolish most of the buildings on the hospital site and build nearly 600 units of rental housing.

Much of the hospital closed in 2014, and Quincy real estate company FoxRock bought the property in 2016.  The emergency room at the site will be remaining open until 2021.
