BOSTON (AP) - A suspended Massachusetts State Police Trooper has agreed to plead guilty to receiving more than $11,000 in overtime pay for hours he didn't work.

Court documents released Friday show 40-year-old Kevin Sweeney has agreed to plead guilty to embezzlement from an agency receiving federal funds and wire fraud.Sweeney is the sixth state trooper to be charged in a federal investigation into overtime abuse at state police. Sweeney is the second trooper to plead guilty.

Prosecutors say Sweeney submitted fake citations to make it look like he had been working overtime shifts that he either didn't work at all or left early.

Sweeney was assigned to the now-disbanded Trooper E, which patrolled the Massachusetts Turnpike.Sweeney's lawyer didn't immediately respond to an email Friday afternoon.
