WORCESTER, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Officials have identified the victim whose body was found on the Mass Pike on Wednesday night.
Worcester District Attorney's Office say that 22-year-old Johannes H. Songdhal III of Norwell, MA.
The body was found Wednesday night on the westbound side of the MassPike near exit 10.
There is no overpass nearby. Troopers did not find any unattended vehicles in the area and there were no prior reports of pedestrians on the highway.
They say that The victim had suffered what were described as "severe injuries."
The State Police investigation closed most of the Mass Pike for several hours. The highway re-opened around 2 a.m. on Thursday.
Anyone with information about the death is asked to contact State Police at Troop C or the Auburn police department.
