Three Confirmed Cases of Legionnaire's Disease In Rhode Island

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) --Three confirmed cases of legionnaire's disease at a Providence nursing home.  Rhode Island health authorities say they were diagnosed at the summit commons rehabilitation and health care center between mid-august, and early this month.

A spokesperson with the Rhode Island health department says the source of the disease is localized, and there is no threat to the general public.  Rhode island saw about 50 cases of the flu-like disease last year.
