Natick Man Charged For Beating Dog

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) — A man from Natick is under arrest after beating his dog inside a T station Police say.

MBTA Transit Police say that Michael Webb, 26, of Natick, was arrested Tuesday at the Ashmont T Station for after they received calls for a man who used a "dog's leash and began to viciously whip and beat the animal about its body," according to a news release. 

When officers approached Webb, who is about 6'7'' and 300 pounds, he told officers that they "needed more than two officers to take him."

More officers responded and Webb was arrested and charged with "Cruelty to Animals." 

It was later learned during Webb's arrest that he also had an existing warrant on the same charge out of Boston Municipal Court

 Boston Animal Control responded and took custody of Coco, a mixed breed dog.
