Boston Sees Record Warm Temperatures Saturday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The National Weather Service says that New England set two weather records as Saturday saw unusually warm temperatures for January.

By 11 a.m., it was 65 degrees in Boston. The previous record was set in 1975 at 62 degrees.

Temperatures near Logan Airport reached 70 degrees Saturday afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, this is only the third time temperatures have reached 70 degrees or warmer in January.
