BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A motion hearing in Chef Mario Batali's sexual misconduct case is set for Monday in Boston Municipal Court.

Batali pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and battery charges in 2019. The charges stem from an incident in 2017, when Batali allegedly groped and kissed a woman against her will after a selfie at a Back Bay restaurant.

The chef had been a star on Food Network, hosting shows like "Iron Chef America," until four women came forward in 2017 and accused him of sexual misconduct.

Batali's career collapsed after the allegations, which Batali has since apologized for. He also said the accusations "match up" with his behavior in the past.

The chef had partnered with Eataly Boston on Boylston Street at one point — that partnership has since ended.
