BREWSTER, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - The Candleberry Inn on Cape Cod was just named the best bed & breakfast in America and second best in the world by Needham-based Tripadvisor.
In the company's annual 'Travelers' Choice 2022 Best of the Best,' released Tuesday, readers picked the Brewster bed and breakfast as the number one stay in the B&B and Inns category. Worldwide, the historic Cape Cod getaway was only beat out by the Toulson Court in Scarborough, United Kingdom.
At the Candleberry Inn, guests can stay in the Georgian Federal-style Main House or in the Carriage House. The inn offers nine-rooms and a multi-court gourmet breakfast is served each morning.
The Candleberry Inn wasn't the only New England stay to make the list. The Blue Horse Inn in Woodstock, Vermont was the 2nd most popular pick, and the Gazebo Inn Ogunquit in Ogunquit, Maine was 3rd. Of the 25 B&Bs and inns ranked on the U.S. list, nine of them are in New England.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards for Hotels are determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor from Jan. 1, 2021 through Dec. 31, 2021.
