BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — At the Lawn On D, representatives from companies, colleges, and employers in the technology industry came together for the first Boston TechJam in the past few years.

Powered by the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, the event gave businesses and job hunters the platform to show off their talents and teams to peers in the field.

Sara Fraim of MassTLC spoke with WBZ's Suzanne Sausville and said the event is about more than just biotech, and is something meant to promote a laid-back time.

"You would actually not have biotech if you did not have tech— machine learning, A.I., data, all of that is technology underpinning it. There's a lot of panels, lot of sharing of best practices and talking heads— none of that is here. This is solely show off your culture and about having fun," said Fraim.

Adding to the festivities was band Juice and local DJ Frank White to entertain the technology-forward crowd.
