Blackstone Police Investigating Middle School Fight Involving A Razor Blade

BLACKSTONE, Mass (WBZNewsRadio) - A 12-year-old is expected to face charges following an altercation with a fellow classmate, involving a razor blade.

A Blackstone Police Department School Resource Officer responded to the Frederick W. Hartnett Middle School around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, after two students had gotten into some kind of altercation. One of the students, allegedly brought a razor blade onto school grounds and sliced another student's hand.

The 11-year-old needed stitches for the cut, but is expected to be ok.

Officials believe the pair knew one another and this is an isolated incident.

Next authorities are expected to file charges against the 12-year-old male in the coming days. When and if that happens, he'll be summonsed to Milford Juvenile Court
