Waltham Man Plans On Spending $1 Million Jackpot On A New Smartwatch

WALTHAM, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - A lucky man from Waltham is now the third $1 million prize winner in the July 19th Powerball drawing, in Massachusetts.

Brendan Stewart collected his $1 million dollar prize this week from the Massachusetts State Lottery HQ in Dorchester.

When asked what he plans to do with his winnings? He said he plans to buy a new smartwatch.

Stewart bought the Quic Pic Ticket at Global Montello/Gulf at 821 Main Street in Waltham. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale of the winning ticket.

Two other Massachusetts natives won $1 million prizes in the July 19th drawing including Jan Busby of Norfolk and Rae Ann Wentworth-Cadieux of Hadley. The winning $1.08 billion jackpot was sold in California.

If you're feeling lucky, you'll have another change at the Powerball this weekend. The jackpot for Saturday, July 29 Powerball stands around $60 million.
