MANSFIELD, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - Authorities in Mansfield are asking for the public's help to identify a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist with serious injuries.

Police responded to the area of 900 Maple Street around 10:53 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1st. and discovered the cyclist with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses told officers a white pick-up truck heading westbound hit the bicyclist while taking a curve in the road. The witness described the pick-up as pulling a landscape-style trailer, which they said was swaying from side-to-side.

Detectives recovered video of the suspect vehicle and said the landscaping trailer is red or orange in color.

"We know the video is grainy... and through a tree... and we zoomed it in a bunch, but we hope someone in the area has a better video or perhaps this quick clip jogs your memory." Police said.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have surveillance video footage of the area of Maple, Franklin and East Streets, between the hours of 10:50 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1st.

If you have any information about the incident or suspect vehicle, please call MPD at 508-261-7356.
