LENOX, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Cellist Yo-Yo Ma has canceled this week's scheduled Tanglewood performances after testing positive for Covid-19.

Appearances on Thursday, August 10th for the Open Cello Workshop, the Open Rehearsal on Saturday, August 12th and the BSO Concert on Sunday, August 13th, have all been impacted.

"Unparalleled American soprano Renée Fleming has graciously agreed to step in to join the BSO on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, performing songs by Richard Strauss in place of the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 that was originally scheduled," the BSO said.
