The race will include a swim at Carson Beach, a bike ride along William Day Boulevard, and finally a run through South Boston.

Mike O'Neil, president and event director of the Triathlon. "People ask me what do I do for a living and I say I'm in the shared human experience business."

Ahead of the main race day, Sunday Aug. 27th, Saturday will be all about the kiddos this year. What's more, this year's race will be completely free for all kids, thanks to funding from Amazon.

Over the last 15 years, more than 20,000 racers have taken part, from all over the world including 36 different countries, and all 50 states.
