WALTHAM, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - Police in Waltham are out with a "friendly reminder" to lock the doors on their vehicles, following a string of recent thefts around the community.

Police shared surveillance footage, showing a suspect peering into parked cars and pulling on door handles, with the hope of easy access. Authorities said it's best to make sure anything of value inside your vehicle isn't left in plain sight.

Waltham is just the latest community to report a series of car break-ins.

Earlier this month, Manchester by the Sea and Maynard police released their own warning to residents following a series of break-ins.
