BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Happy Veterans Day Weekend. For many, this three-day weekend is a great excuse to get out of town for a quick-trip but for those of us staying put, there is plenty to do whether you're looking towards the holiday season or honoring local veterans.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the low 50s. Temperatures will drop slightly overnight with lows in the mid-30s before warming back up slightly on Saturday, hitting the upper 40s. Frost will likely be the first thing we see on Sunday morning, with highs in the lower-to-mid 40s in the afternoon. With pockets of sunshine through out, it'll be a wonderful weekend to get outside before Jack Frost arrives with gusto.
