'Patriots Nation' Trying To Get Excited For The Super Bowl

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Now that the teams are set for Super Bowl LVIII, the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers, the question is does anyone in 'Patriots Nation' care?

The short answer is 'mostly no,' at least based on our unscientific survey WBZ's Chris Fama conducted Monday.

In fact, Pats fans were more passionate about who they don't want to win the big game — the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Super Bowl, which is being played Feb. 11, will be a rematch of Super Bowl LIV in 2020 when Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20.

One of the reasons some Pats fans have a major dislike for the Chiefs is possibly because Kansas City is trying to become the first back-to-back champions since Tom Brady and the Patriots did it following the 2003-04 seasons.

This year's Super Bowl will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
