A Respite Today Then More Stormy Weather Ahead

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — This winter so far has been a heavy helping of severe weather including snow, sleet, torrential rain, flooding, damaging winds and power outages.

Today is a bit of a respite before another storm is expected to move through the region Tuesday into Wednesday.

The past few days has been an icy freeze blanketing much of the country.

And for those disciplined enough to still make it to the gym for a workout, like this guy, just the process of dressing in layers and getting to the gym is a workout of its own. "I'm heading to the gym right now and I had to bundle up," he said. "But I'll take this weather over eight inches of snow."

He liked hearing that forecasters are calling for a mix of snow and rain depending on location with significant snow accumulation not expected.

And after that storm passes Wednesday, forecasters say they are expecting a significant warming trend to move into New England that could be here to stay for a while.
