MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities in Marlborough are investigating a murder-suicide that happened Wednesday morning at around 10 o’clock.
The Middlesex District Attorney’s office said police were called to an address on Rice Street.
When they arrived, they were met outside by two women and a child who said their female roommate had been shot inside.
Inside the home police found a 28-year-old woman who lived in the home and a 29-year-old man dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified the victims as Kethleen DaRocha and Marlon Costa, both of Marlborough.
Costa shot the woman before turning the weapon on himself, according to authorities.
A preliminary investigation indicates the two were in a dating relationship, while the D.A. said the man threatened the woman at his home on Tuesday night.
