BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley has filed a resolution seeking the impeachment of Brett Kavanaugh after reports surfaced of another sexual assault allegation against the Supreme Court Justice.

The new allegations against Kavanaugh, which were reported over the weekend, are similar to the assault alleged by Deborah Ramirez, a Yale classmate of Kavanaugh's, who said Kavanaugh thrust his penis in her face at a college party. Ramirez's allegations, along with those of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, were at the center of Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings last year.

Pressley, a survivor of sexual assault herself, said on Twitter that she still believes Ford and Ramirez.

"It's deeply disturbing that someone that serves on the highest court in the land can have this many allegations," Pressley told The Hill Tuesday afternoon. "This is why I filed the resolution to initiate an impeachment inquiry."

If approved, the resolution would allow a legislative committee to issue subpoenas and take affidavits in depositions.
