REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — For those not looking to say goodbye to summer, Tuesday’s high temperatures provided one last chance to enjoy the beach.

After a rainy and cold start to the fall, temperatures returned to the 70s this week, even reaching the 80s on Tuesday afternoon. Many beach lovers took the opportunity to have one last day at the beach.

“While it’s here, we’re going to make the most of it,” said one resident enjoying the weather. “We were planning on going on a little walk at Deer Island. It’s going to be a pretty day.”

The ocean might be too cold to take a dip, but that did not stop people from spending the day by the water.

“It’s been very rainy and cold,” said Sarah at Revere Beach. “It’s nice to have a bit of summer before it’s gone.”

Temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s throughout the week before more rain possibly returns this weekend.
