BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — With over two months into office, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said that City management is ready for the nor'easter billowing outside, given that residents listen to all the safety precautions that come with it.
Residents should stay inside if they can help it, Wu told WBZ's Shari Small. If absolutely necessary, commuters are encouraged to stay off the roads and try to use public transportation to make trips, Wu said.
"Shelters are available for those who are unhoused, and if anyone needs help, please call 311 for non-emergency situations, or 911 if you see someone who needs help out in the storm," Wu said.

With a potential for two feet or more of snow in the City, high winds, and coastal flooding in the cards for Saturday, Wu said that road clearing may carry through the weekend.
"Stay inside, stay warm, and check on your neighbors. If you have to be on the roads, go slowly, save lots of time, and give lots of room for our plows and salt spreaders to do their work," Wu said.
