BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Street sweeping in Boston started April 1, 2024. The program runs until Nov. 30, 2024.

Parking restrictions apply to all neighborhoods except the North End, the South End and Beacon Hill, according to Boston.gov. Sweepers cover those neighborhoods between Dec. 31 and March 1.

Motorists can use a city database to check which days and times parking restrictions apply to a given street.

The Transportation Department hired private towing companies to tow cars parked in street sweeping areas, according to Boston.gov.

Each tow costs $108. Each day in a towing company's lot costs $35.

Motorists can use an online search engine or call the Boston Police Department at 617-343-4629 to locate their towed cars.
