BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Three people were sent to the hospital after a crash involving a school bus and several passenger vehicles outside the Henry Grew School in Hyde Park Thursday morning, officials said.

Boston police said they were called to 40 Gordon Avenue at around 8:17 for a motor vehicle accident with a pedestrian struck.

Three victims, including one juvenile, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The victims' identities have not been released.

Police said there were no students onboard the bus at the time of the crash, only the driver.

"A Boston Public Schools crisis team is on-site to support students and staff who might have witnessed the accident," school principal Christina Michel wrote in a letter to families. "We encourage anyone who might need support to speak with our school social workers or the BPS crisis team."

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
