CAPE COD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — With spring in full stride, and summer not too far behind, weekend service CapeFLYER is set to resume their train service between Boston and Cape Cod on Friday, May 27, on Memorial Day weekend.

This year marks a decade since the train began connecting Suffolk County with the Cape, with a new change that shifts trains to a later departure from Boston on Friday nights to accommodate and give more time for the city's workforce to catch the train.

For holiday weekends, such as the Fourth of July and Labor Day, CapeFLYER says they will add extra trains to compensate for the large influx of travelers.

Aboard the train heading full-steam-ahead to the Cape are amenities like a 50-bicycle rack and tune up bar and a Blonde On The Run Catering café where passengers can pre-order dishes like lobster rolls, officials say. Additionally, CapeFLYER offers free Wi-Fi and is a pet friendly vessel.

CapeFLYER runs from Boston all the way down to Hyannis, hitting numerous stops in between. At the final stop in Hyannis, buses, taxi services, and shuttles frequently come by to transport passengers to island ferries and the regional airport down the road.
