Officials allege that Barrillas was involved in the shooting that seriously injured a woman on Thursday while she was in a vehicle. Police say that the day after the shooting, detectives approached the suspect who was driving a rented "Zip Car" at the time. While the vehicle was stopped in traffic, officials say they closed in on the suspect. Barrillas then allegedly used his vehicle to evade police, striking and injuring a Chelsea Detective in the process.

Barrillas is scheduled to appear in Chelsea District Court at a later date for arraignment, officials said.
