BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Calling all artists: The Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture is seeking artists to paint utility boxes around the city.
The City of Boston will give artists a $500 stipend through the PaintBox program; $200 for supplies and $300 upon completion of the painting.
"PaintBox is an annual program that connects the City of Boston and local artists. It provides artists with experience working with the City while creating public art," the city stated.
Artists must submit their design by May 31 and adhere to the guidelines.
For artists who are approved, they will receive an armband with a City-issued painting permit and details regarding COVID-19 safety guidelines.
