Coast Guard Searches For Fisherman Who Fell Overboard Off Of Nantucket

NANTUCKET, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Coast Guard crews have been searching the waters for a fisherman who fell overboard off Nantucket early Monday morning.

The 36-year-old male reportedly fell from the New Bedford-based boat, the F/V Blue Wave, without a lifejacket.

Petty Officer Ryan Noel said the man was woken up for his watch shift but never showed.

“A search was conducted upon the vessel looking for the man,” Noel said. “When they could not find him, they let the Coast Guard know.”
