Dedham Man Charged With OUI After Truck Slams Into House

DEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Dedham man is charged with a number of offenses, including operating under the influence, after allegedly driving his pickup truck into a Dedham home late Sunday night.

The Sprague Street crash left a 71-year-old woman pinned underneath that truck. She was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital with a number of injuries, but is expected to recover.

According to prosecutors, Alexander Mann, 24 of Dedham, agreed to take a breathalyzer test at the scene and was found to have a blood alcohol level of .23—well above the legal limit of .08.

At a Mann was also charged with operating to endanger, as well as a marked lane violation.

Bail was set at $2,500. If Mann posts that bail, he will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. He is also ordered not to drive while the case is ongoing.

Mann is due back in court January 10.
