Dennis Skateboarder Airlifted To Boston After Serious Injury

DENNIS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On person was seriously injured on a skateboard in Dennis on Saturday. Dennis Fire and Police responded to a call about a man laying on Old Wharf Road in Dennis Port at around 4:00 PM Saturday afternoon.

First responders found a middle-aged man lying in the road at the intersection of Oak Street and Old Wharf Road. The man had apparently been skateboarding, and was not wearing a helmet when he fell.

EMTs treated the man's immediate wounds at the scene, but he was taken to West Dennis for an airlift and eventually med-flighted to Boston Medical Center. He had life-threatening injuries at the time according to Dennis Fire, but there was no update on his condition as of Sunday afternoon. The man has not yet been identified.
