BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Dorchester couple took home the $50,000 grand prize in the Feb. 27 episode of HGTV's "Battle on the Mountain."

The show gave three teams $100,000 and six weeks each to remodel a house in the mountains of Colorado.

Stephen and David St. Russell, the "Renovation Husbands," out-renovated the other teams during filming last summer to take home the grand prize.

"Two years ago if you asked if we would win a reality TV show on HGTV, we would have thought you were crazy," David St. Russell told WBZ NewsRadio's James Rojas.

They said they will put the prize money toward renovating their house in Maine.

Stephen and David chronicle their Maine house renovations on Instagram in front of 250,000 followers.
