Dracut Schools Resource Officer On Leave Over Alleged Inappropriate Conduct

DRACUT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Monday, officials from Dracut Public Schools and the Dracut Police Department notified the public that a school resource officer at the local high school had been put on paid administrative leave following allegations of "inappropriate conduct."

According to a statement, the DPD has launched an investigation into Sunny Nguyen. Officials did not detail what events led up to Nguyen's leave, but said DPS is fully cooperating with the investigation.

Nguyen has been with the DPD working as a school resource officer since 2019, according to his LinkedIn page. Prior to that, Nguyen had roles in the Middlesex Sheriff's Office, Lowell General Hospital, and HealthAlliance Hospital.
