Duxbury Woman Indicted On Murder And Strangulation Charges

BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced Friday that a Duxbury woman was indicted on charges that she murdered her three children.

A Plymouth County grand jury handed down indictments, charging 32-year-old Lindsay Clancy with three counts each of murder and strangulation. Clancy is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.

On Jan. 24, 2023, Duxbury Police responded to a report of a suspected suicide attempt where they found Clancy. She was treated on the scene before being transported to a local hospital for treatment.

First responders found three unconscious children in the basement with signs of severe trauma. 5-year-old Cora Clancy and 3-year-old Dawson Clancy were pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth that night. 8-month-old Callan Clancy died Friday, Jan. 27 at Boston Children's Hospital.

When Clancy was arraigned on Feb. 7, 2023, her defense attorney Kevin Reddington said she suffers from postpartum depression and was overmedicated.
