Fall River Police Searching For Suspect In Deadly Convenience Store Robbery

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Fall River are asking for the public's help to find a man wanted in connection to a deadly convenience store robbery earlier this week.

Fall River police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who allegedly shot and killed a convenience store clerk during a robbery.

Police were called to the Stop and Save around 10:30 p.m. Monday night. When police arrived, they found the clerk, identified as 54-year-old Lal Kishor Mahaseth of Fall River, on the floor unresponsive.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office says a person had entered the store and found Mahaseth on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Fall River police have released a picture of the suspect on social media. He is described as a man in his 20's with a light skin complexion and is about 5"9".

Police say the suspect has a tattoo on his right hand and had on grey sneakers and dark colored clothes at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the robbery is asked to call police.
