WOBURN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A car crash in Woburn on Wednesday has left one person dead.
According to Woburn Police, the accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. A car travelling southbound on Cambridge Road appeared to have crossed the double yellow line on the road and crashed head first into another car.
One man was killed in the crash, another suffered from non-life threatening injuries.
Following the crash, a FedEx truck attempted avoid the area of the accident by going down a side street. The truck knocked down utility wires, causing power outages on the street.
Some of the residents on the side street are elderly. The incident left them without power in 90 degree weather.
