BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Local and state police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Friday evening at a motel in Brockton.
Authorities responded at 6:21 p.m. Friday to reports of a male who had been shot at the Super 8 by Wyndham on Westgate Drive, near the Westgate Mall.
According to the Brockton Enterprise, the victim was a 20-year-old man who had been shot in the chest inside a room on the second floor. He was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
Officials with the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said the investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
