Father And Daughter Identified As Victims Of Motorcycle Crash In Hanson

HANSON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Police have identified the two people killed in a motorcycle crash in Hanson on Friday as a father and daughter.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office identified the individuals as 58-year-old James Ripley and 19-year-old daughter Jenna, both of Hailfax.

The crash occurred just after 9:30 pm on Route 58 in Hanson.

Local police had received a 911 call reporting the crash in the vicinity of 612 Monponsett Street at Hill Road. One victim was seen lying in the street.

That person, later identified as Jenna, died on scene from injuries sustained from the crash. Her father James, also found lying at the scene, was rushed to Brockton Hospital where he later died.

Authorities said the two were riding down Monponsett street when their Harley Davidson reportedly hit a pole. After leaving the road near Hill Road.

While there is no exact word yet on what caused the crash, the D.A. believes that other vehicles may have been involved.

There is currently no other information available at this point in the investigation.
