BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) —On Friday afternoon, the FBI announced another Massachusetts man was charged for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 U.S. Capital Riots.

Holyoke resident Christopher Keniley is the 30th person arrested by the FBI Boston Division in connection with the riots.

Keniley faces four charges for his alleged involvement in the riots: entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

Prosecutors said Keniley was spotted on CCTV video entering the Capital around 3:09 p.m. on the day of the riot and encouraged others to follow. A Massachusetts State Police Trooper helped confirm Keniley’s identity after pulling him over for a traffic stop in February.

Keniley was taken into custody without incident and had his initial appearance in Massachusetts court Thursday afternoon before Magistrate Judge Katherine A. Robertson.
