From Frigid To Balmy, Residents Dressing In Layers

QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Monday morning dawned dark and cold, frigid in fact with temperatures in the low 20s in some areas. It was the coldest day of the season.

But the good news is temperatures are rising into the 40s as the day goes on.

And later in the week, temperatures are expected to hit near 60 in some spots.

So how do locals deal with these serious temperature swings that are common this time of year?

The operative word is ‘layers’. Put them on in the morning. Then the layers can come off as it warms up.

“It was pretty cold out this morning,” observed Brianna, a South Shore resident.

She made clear though, that as much as she can’t stand the cold, someone she was with hates it even more, her new puppy. “Oh, she hates the cold, even more than I do.”

But she also said it could be worse. At least it isn’t windy.
