German Shepherd Rescued From Septic Tank In Bedford, N.H.

BEDFORD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Animal Control officers in Bedford, N.H. rescued a German Shepherd from a 500 gallon septic tank Tuesday morning.

Officers managed to pull the 85 pound dog out by "using a catch pole and some ingenuity," Bedford Police said.

The dog has had a bath and is doing well. He had fallen into the tank by accident.

"We think his owners were more panicked than he was, but we're just happy we were able to help," police said.
