BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is set to announce a partnership between Abacus Health Products, Gillette Stadium, Patriots Place and The Kraft Group.
This will be the first CBD partnership for the organization. The announcement will be made official at a media conference October 24th.
Gronkowski played his entire professional career for the New England Patriots before hanging up his jersey in March. He took an ownership stake in Abacus Health Products this summer, saying CBD products helped him become "pain-free" for the first time in a decade.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has spoken extensively about his hopes to get professional sports leagues to loosen their restrictions on CBD products.
