SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — "We have your DNA. We have your genetic characteristics. Justice is coming for you." That was the message from Hampden County D.A. Anthony Gulluni at a press conference on Wednesday.

The D.A's office said it now has a composite sketch of the suspect in the 1990 Springfield cold-case homicide of Shana Price, based on DNA found in the case. Virginia-based Parabon Nanolabs did the testing, and was able to determine a wide range of physical characteristics about the suspect. They now know the suspect is a male of African descent, with brown eyes, black hair, and few freckles.

The then-17-year-old Price was found dead in Springfield's Blunt Park the day after Christmas in 1990. Her death was ruled a homicide, and Police said she had been strangled, beaten, and sexually assaulted.

Officials are renewing their call for information from the public in the case, given this new break.
