HANOVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Hanover artist is providing students of all ages a unique setting to creatively express themselves.

Robyn Thompson-Duong, 43, is the owner and founder of The Art Barn Studio, an art studio located inside an unassuming barn at 674 Webster St. Thompson-Duong, who has a Master's in Education from Lesley University, has taught art at institutions including Worcester Academy, Milton Public Schools, The Museum of Fine Arts, and Rhode Island School of Design, but the Art Barn has since become her primary focus.

"When I saw the barn, I fell in love," said Thompson-Duong when describing the origins of the studio. "I was like 'Oh my god, that would be a beautiful art studio.'"

The studio opened in October 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, initially limited to online classes. Recently it has started offering summer classes to children, limited to a maximum of eight per class.

"We've done printmaking, drawing, collage, painting, so each week is a different theme," said Thompson-Duong.

The Art Barn Studio also offers weekly drawing and painting classes for adults, as well as adult sip and paint parties once per month.
