BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — With the 2022 Winter Olympics on the horizon, hotel guests at Beacon Hill's Liberty Hotel were offered the opportunity to practice one of the featured sporting events: curling.

Through December 11 to January 31, the hotel said they are offering a pre-paid package that includes forty-five minutes of independent curling on an outside synthetic rink with up to six players, along with hot chocolate, beef sliders, and chocolate chip cookies. The price of the package totaled to $110, according to the Liberty Hotel's website.

Hotel officials said that booking for the patio curling rink will run until the end of March, 2022.

"It's really fun for novices, you can jump right in- you don't have to have any special equipment, we're not using the brooms," said Director of Food and Beverages at The Liberty Hotel Adam Butner-Burroughs.

In terms of safety, the hotel has COVID-19 protocols in place, Butner-Burroughs told WBZ's Jim MacKay. "It's a little bit safer- it's open and outdoors," said Butner-Burroughs.
