NANTUCKET Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Nantucket received a report on Thursday evening of identified human remains found near the East end of the Island, according to a press release on the department’s Facebook page. The two men who found the remains were reportedly looking for deer antler sheds at the time.
Police responded to the scene and subsequently secured the area while evidence was processed and collected. The remains have been transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further evaluation.
The cause of death is unknown currently and remains under investigation.
