LEWISTON, Maine (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Lewiston, Maine bowling alley where a gunman opened fire and killed seven people Oct. 25, 2023 is set to reopen soon, owners said.

Just-In-Time Recreation was one of two sites where Robert Card Jr. killed a total of 18 people in Maine's deadliest mass shooting ever.

Owners began remodeling the facility weeks after the shooting.

"The changes are slowly happening and coming together," the owners said on Facebook earlier this year. "We look forward to seeing everyone soon."

So far, Just-In-Time has gotten new bumpers, upgraded scoring machines and a revamped menu.

Owners have yet to announce an exact opening date.
